Ceremony Location
We're getting married in Makena. I wanted to get married in Makena because it's my sister's name so it means a lot to my family. I chose Paipu beach (a part of Makena) because it's secluded and not on the map. These pictures are taken from my aunt who visited the beach before one of the weddings of my coordinator. It was a cloudy day so it really doesn't show the blue water.
Here's the details on the ceremony:
-It's at 9am....so early, but it's when the blue water photographs so well and it's not hot outside. There will also some shade for guests that need it. Plus I'm the skinniest in the morning :)
-We are having a conch shell blower/chanter who will start our ceremony by blowing the conch shell. He will also lead me in on the arm of my Daddy. He will chant during the lei exchange and then lead my then husband and I out after the ceremony by blowing the conch shell and chanting.
-Our Minister is the great great grandson of Hawaii's Queen Kaahumanu who will be in traditional Hawaiian attire.
-We have a singer/guitarist for all the songs during the ceremony. The songs will all be in Hawaiian instead of English.
-We'll be standing in a flower circle to say our vows and also be doing the traditional lei exchange.
-We'll have a photographer and a videographer as well so we can show our video at our AHR.
We're really trying to stick to traditional Hawaiian as much as we can :) And shoes will be optional for it, preferred off.

Vows
FI likes traditional vows, so that's what we're going with! He is going to be getting them tattoo'ed over his heart after the wedding, so whatever he wants!
Palm Fans
I'll be giving our guests palm fans for during the ceremony. I'll put our monogramed tags on them with some ribbon.
Reception Location
After the ceremony, we'll have a brunch reception since everyone will be hungry. We won't be doing anything reception like though, just eating. We also want to go to a public luau that night. So we'll just let people know where to book the luau tickets on our wedding website if they would like to join us.
Welcome Dinner/Day after Brunch
We're having a welcome dinner for everyone at Southshore Tiki Lounge. Then we're going to make brunch at the house we rented for a day after the wedding brunch! It'll be for who ever wants to come hang out. Some of our guests will be leaving this day, so a brunch would be the perfect goodbye :) That evening after dinner we will separate for our honeymoon!
